Gothic
While some might say that the Gothic style emerged out of nowhere this fall, a closer look at the fall/winter collections this year shows that this trend is here to stay. Granted, not every woman feels comfortable wearing a sophisticated, heavy velvet blouse combined with a stunning pair of leather pants, under the knee boots and heavy make-up. However, if you’re looking to create a strong visual impression or a statement in any given occasion, then this is definitely the style you should select.
Baroque
If you paid attention to the fashion shows this fall, then you certainly noticed that most designers had at least a couple of baroque inspired pieces with extensive use of luxurious fabrics and exuberant details. It could be related to the Western women’s observation on the beauty of their Asian counterparts and the fact that their garments don’t have to be excessively revealing in order to look sexy, but adopting an Oriental inspired trend this fall and winter could bring numerous advantages to your personal style.
Little red dress
Despite the fact that the little black dress can’t really be dethroned from the first position of women’s timeless pieces, it has some serious competition this year from the little red dress. Whether or not it will live up to its challenge only time will tell. Knits

Military style
The military style revived last year stirred up designers’ imagination and it appears it’s trendy this fall/winter season as well. However, unlike last year when the military look was mostly transferred to coats, this year we notice the true potential of the style in the form fitting dresses, fabulous jackets and whole outfit suits. A further noticeable modification from last year comprises of the pockets and button accents as well as the softer fabrics used to make the military style more adaptable and snugly for women.
Masculine inspired
Even though most of us thought the suit will just be a shortly lived trend, somehow the masculine inspired fashion has made it into this season’s top as well. For starters, it is necessary to point out that by now most women have at least one pair of slim-fitted trousers in their wardrobe that they can easily combine with a classy pair of shoes.
